Outcomes, content, and assessment must form a tightly coupled system. Plot each outcome on what's taught against what's assessed, and find the orphans.

How to use it
- For each stated outcome, plot how thoroughly it's taught against how thoroughly it's assessed. The target is the top-right. Everywhere else is a misalignment the matrix names for you. For each outcome, rate how thoroughly it's built into the teaching and how thoroughly it's checked in assessment, then note the evidence.
