About

The outsider who went inside.

Cognition Blueprint exists because one conviction turned out to be true: learning is a skill, it can be designed, and the methods that prove it stayed locked inside institutions.

The founder’s story

Kevin Fenemore

I left school at fifteen with no qualifications. Not a metaphor and not a soft landing — I was kicked out, and for a few years afterwards nothing about my life suggested a career in education.

At eighteen a friend offered me a job in Spain teaching rock climbing, kayaking and English to Spanish children. It paid almost nothing and it is probably still the best job I have ever had. That was years before I had a single credential to my name, and it is the part of the story that matters most: the teaching came first. The qualifications came later, and they came the hard way.

I went to university in my mid-twenties as a mature student and never really left. Senior Lecturer and Course Leader in filmmaking at Leeds Arts University. Programme Leader, and then Academic Director of Recruitment and Marketing for the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics, at the University of Bradford. Then Dean of Faculty at EBAC in São Paulo, building a faculty inside a university in a second language and a second country.

Fifteen years inside higher education. Four undergraduate degree programmes designed from scratch — including co-creating the UK’s first BSc in Virtual and Augmented Reality — and hundreds of courses across FE, HE, CPD and industry. Alongside it, professional practice in film, visual effects, animation and photography, because you cannot teach a craft you have never had to deliver on a deadline.

The through-line is not the job titles. It is that I spent fifteen years being paid to answer one question — what actually makes a course work? — and discovered the answers rarely leave the building. Validation panels know them. Programme leaders know them. Almost nobody teaching online has ever been shown them.

I left academia to fix that.

What we make

Courses, books and tools — one framework underneath.

Everything here comes out of the same body of work: the research base that accredited programmes are built and defended on, translated into something you can use on the course you are building this week.

01

The courses

The flagship is the Cinematic Curriculum Method — thirteen modules on the structural logic film has used for a century, applied to curriculum.

02

The books

The Cinematic Curriculum and Architect of Mind. The methodology in print, each volume standing on its own.

03

The tools

Interactive instruments that score a course against the method instead of describing it — starting with the free Course Checker.

The record

Where the method came from.

What we stand for

Three things, and we will be held to them.

Evidence over folklore.
Every claim traces to a literature or to fifteen years of programme design that had to survive an audit. Where the evidence is thin, we say so rather than dressing it up.
Owned outright.
You buy it once and it is yours. No subscription, no renewal, no marketplace sitting between us taking a cut and setting the terms.
Designed to be finished.
Most online courses are not completed. That is a design failure, not a student failure, and it is the specific problem everything here is built to solve.
