If yours isn’t here, write to us and we’ll answer it — and if it comes up twice, it ends up on this page.
Cognition Blueprint
- Who am I buying from?
- Academic Method Limited, trading as Cognition Blueprint, 37A Gynn Lane, Honley, HD9 6LF, United Kingdom. Everything is sold from this site, with no marketplace in between.
- What do you sell?
- Courses, books and resources: interactive tools and kits. Everything is digital. Nothing is posted to you, and there is nothing to return.
Courses
- Which courses are there?
- The Cinematic Curriculum Method is open now: thirteen modules, thirty-eight lessons and twelve capstones that apply the structural logic of film to curriculum.
- What is the Cinematic Curriculum Method?
- A complete system for designing courses using the structural logic of film — act structure, sequence, scene, pacing and worldbuilding — applied to curriculum. Thirteen modules, thirty-eight lessons and twelve capstones. The lessons teach the method; the capstones make you apply it to a course of your own.
- Do I need a film background for the Cinematic Curriculum Method?
- No. The method borrows filmmaking’s structural thinking, not its equipment. Every cinematic idea is explained from first principles as it arrives.
- Who is the Cinematic Curriculum Method for?
- Educators, course creators, instructional designers and programme leaders who can already write content and cannot work out why the finished thing does not land. It assumes you have something to build.
- How long will the Cinematic Curriculum Method take me?
- It is self-paced and there is no cohort to keep up with. The capstones are the real work, and how fast you move through them depends on the size of the course you are building.
- What does the Cinematic Curriculum Method cost?
- One payment, no subscription, no renewal. Founders’ Deal prices rise in steps: £150 until 1 December 2026, £199 until 1 January 2027, £229 until 28 March 2027 and £259 until 1 June 2027. From then the course is £300. The book and the Toolkit’s 39 tools are included.
- Is there a certificate?
- Yes. When you have completed every lesson of a course, a certificate of completion is ready to download from My courses.
- What is the AI tutor?
- Courses include an AI tutor, which answers your questions from the course material, and AI feedback on your workbook answers. Both are generated by a language model and can be wrong, so check anything that matters against the course material. AI feedback is not an accredited assessment. Both carry fair-use limits, shown in the course.
Books
- What format are the books?
- Each book downloads as one .zip file. Your private download link expires after 7 days and allows 5 downloads, so save the file somewhere safe. Paperbacks are sold on Amazon; each book’s page links to it.
- Do I need the book to take the course, or the other way round?
- No. Each stands alone. The book documents the methodology; the course walks you through applying it to your own material with the capstones. The Cinematic Curriculum Method course includes the book, and the book is also sold on its own.
- What is the difference between The Cinematic Curriculum Method and Architect of Mind?
- The Cinematic Curriculum Method applies the structural logic of filmmaking and cinematography to curriculum and instructional design. Architect of Mind is a long-form work on the history, philosophy and architecture of learning.
Tools and kits
- What are the tools?
- The tools in the Cinematic Curriculum Method Toolkit are structured worksheets. You fill in your course details, the tool scores or maps your answer against the method’s frameworks, and it hands back a concrete verdict. They run inside your account on this site, with nothing to download.
- Is the Toolkit included with the course?
- Yes. The Cinematic Curriculum Method includes all 39 tools. The Toolkit is also sold on its own.
Accounts and access
- How do I get access after I buy?
- Your purchase is tied to the email address you check out with, and the course opens in your account. If you are new here, we email you an invitation to set your own password. Sign in at any time from the link in the site header.
- Can I share my account?
- No. Your account is for one person. If you are buying for a team or an organisation, write to hello@cognitionblueprint.com before you buy: different terms may apply.
- Do I own what I buy?
- What you buy is licensed to you, not sold, for your own learning and your own professional practice. Course access has no end date; we will give you at least 90 days’ notice, by email, if a course is ever to be withdrawn. A download comes as a private link that expires and allows a limited number of downloads, so save the file somewhere safe when you download it. There is no marketplace between us, and nothing needs renewing.
- Do course updates cost extra?
- No. We may update, improve or reorganise course material, and updates to a course you own are included at no extra cost.
- Something isn’t working.
- Write to hello@cognitionblueprint.com from the address you bought with, and say what you were trying to open and what happened instead.
Payments
- How do I pay?
- Through Stripe, on Stripe’s own checkout page. We never see or hold your card number. Discount codes, where we issue them, are applied at checkout.
- Is everything one payment?
- Yes. One payment, no subscription, no renewal.
- What currency are prices in?
- Pounds sterling, with no VAT added: Academic Method Limited is not registered for VAT. Outside the UK, Stripe’s checkout may show the price in your own currency with a conversion fee of 2–4% included. You can choose to pay in pounds instead.
- Does my price change when a wave ends?
- No. A price change never affects an order already placed, and it never affects access you have already bought.
Refunds
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes. You have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel any order and get a full refund, whether or not you have started the course or downloaded the file. You do not have to give a reason.
- How do I cancel?
- Email legal@academicmethod.com from the address you bought with and say you want to cancel. We refund the full amount to the card you paid with within 14 days of receiving your request, and your access ends.
- What if something is wrong after 14 days?
- Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 still apply. If what you bought does not work, is not as described, or is not of satisfactory quality, we will put it right, replace it or refund you.
